Manchester Stores Hit By Smash And Grab Robbers

MANCHESTER, Mo. (KMOX) –  Police in Manchester are looking for suspects who smashed out the windows of a pair of businesses overnight.

They threw rocks through the windows of a dry cleaning company and a tanning store, both located in the Stonegate Center strip mall near Big Bend and Hwy. 141.

It looks like the robbers were interested in cash — if so, they likely went away disappointed.

In all, only about $50 or so was missing from the two businesses, but owners are upset about have to replace the glass, and because they say this is just the latest in a string of robberies they’ve suffered in recent years.

they smashed out 2 windows just to get $50? what low lives.

I hope if they are found guilty that they are forced to replace the windows they broke – they should have to pay – not tax payers.
