BOURBON, Mo. (AP) – Authorities are investigating the deaths of four people at a campground and resort in Crawford County, Missouri.
Sheriff Randy Martin says in a statement that four bodies were found about 1 p.m. Saturday at a campground south of Bourbon. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has identified the camp as Blue Springs Ranch, a resort with campsites, cabins, trail riding and other activities on the Meramec River about 80 miles southwest of St. Louis.
The sheriff says an adult and three children appear to have died from gunshot wounds. He says autopsies have been scheduled.
The newspaper says the adult was a woman.
Martin says investigators are still working to identify the victims.

A mother and three children are dead in what police say appears to be a case of murder-suicide.
The bodies of a woman and three children were found on a remote road at the Blue Springs Ranch and Resort in Bourbon, Missouri yesterday afternoon.
All had been shot to death. Police say a handgun was found on the ground.
The resort operators say the four were not guests there.
The woman’s car was found near the site where the bodies were found.
The names of those killed have not been released.
