Some of the city’s brightest lights went out last night.
The lights are on the outside of the Lumiere Place Casino downtown and they were turned off for an hour at 8.30 in honor of “Earth Hour”, a worldwide event to call attention to the need to do something about climate change.
Inside the building, the Four Seasons Hotel turned out the lights in its “Cielo” restaurant to support the cause.
What was described as a “sustainable” dinner was served by candlelight.
