ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) –  Which county in the metropolitan area has the most smokers?

Jefferson County has a 30-percent adult smoking rate…according to numbers supplied by the website County Health Rankings.

Franklin County was next highest at 28 percent.  Then St. Louis City at 27-percent. St. Clair and Madison counties in Illinois are at 22 percent.  St. Louis County at 18 percent.  St. Charles County at 17 percent.  And lowest in the area — Monroe County, Illinois — at just 9-percent.
