Fulton Man Gets 23 Years For Distributing Heroin

FULTON, Mo. (AP) — A 36-year-old Fulton man has been sentenced to nearly 23 years in federal prison without parole for distributing heroin that caused a woman’s overdose death.

The Columbia Tribune reports Trevonn Lionel French was sentenced Tuesday. He pleaded guilty last year to distributing heroin in January 2011 that resulted in three people overdosing, one fatally.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Summer Bond, of Fulton, died of an overdose after using heroin she got from French. Bond’s brother also was hospitalized after using heroin from French.
