The Sports Hub: Cards Spoil Miami’s Opener, Redwings Spoil Blues Lead, Holt Retires a Ram
Dave Sinclair Ford presents The Sports Hub with Maurice Drummond and Chris Kerber
On a night like this, it took two TVs side by side to follow the Cardinals opener and the Blues pivitol game against the Redwings. One out of two isn’t bad, as the Cardinals spoil the Miami Marlins home-opener, winning 4-1. Kyle Lohse pitched a no-hitter up until the 7th inning, looking sharp. On the Blues’ side of things, they scored two quick goals against the Redwings in the third period, but the lead was short lived, as the Detroit score two quick goals of their own to even the score. Redwings pulled out the win in a shootout. The Blues gained a point, pulling in within two points of the Canucks. Brian Elliott’s outstanding shutout streak ended, but will not go unnoticed. Joining The Sports Hub live is Mike Claiborne, reviewing the Cardinals win. Also, hear from Torry Holt, who officially retired as a Ram.
