ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis man’s charged with trying to run down a city police officer as he attempted to elude arrest last week.
According to a police report, 19-year-old Jamie White took aim at an officer laying down spike strips during Wednesday’s incident, which ended when the suspect’s car struck several parked vehicles on North Broadway.
Police say White also hit a building earlier in the chase as he attempted to get away from officers who wanted to question him about shots fired in an alley that he was seen driving away from.
White’s jailed on charges of 2nd degree assault of a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action, resisting arrest, and multiple counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
