ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Two days before the Blues open their playoff series with San Jose the status of one of their goaltenders is in question.

Brian Elliott was held out of today’s second practice because of an ‘upper body injury’.

“He’s got a little bit of an upper body issue… rather than try and squeeze the big long one we took him on the short one.” Coach Ken Hitchcock goes on to say Elliot should be fine.

Hitchcock says he’ll announce tomorrow if Elliott or Jaroslav Halak will start Thursday. The Blues have recalled Jake Allen for tomorrow’s practice.
