ST. LOUIS (AP) — Two more members of a violent motorcycle gang have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
A federal judge in St. Louis on Wednesday sentenced 41-year-old Thomas “Qball” Bailey to nearly 16 years in prison, and 32-year-old Maurice Thomas to nearly five years.
Both are from Chicago and were members of the Wheels of Soul Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. Prosecutors say gang members were responsible for drug conspiracies, murders and other crimes.
Bailey and Thomas pleaded guilty in January to trafficking crack cocaine. Bailey also acknowledged agreeing to the killing of an insubordinate member of the gang, and that he conspired to dispose of a gun used in a murder in Chicago in January 2011.
Eighteen Wheels of Soul members were named in a federal indictment in June. Eight have pleaded guilty.
