ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Two students at Arrowpoint Elementary School, part of the Hazelwood School District, face disciplinary action after they reportedly fired a BB gun after classes on Wednesday.
“It was reported to the Arrowpoint Elementary School principal that students while on the way home had been shooting a BB gun,” Hazelwood School District spokesperson Diana Gulotta told KMOX News.
There were no injuries and it’s not believed anybody was struck by the pellets.
Gulotta says the principal was notified of Wednesday’s incident on Thursday, and the district acted quickly to let parents know.
“Once we investigated the situation we made sure to send a letter home to tell parents that in fact there were shooting BB guns,” Gulotta said.

She explained that even though it turned out not to be a real weapon, District officials are taking this very seriously.
