For the fourth weekend in a row, “The Hunger Games” has tenaciously held on to the top spot at the nation’s movie box office. This weekend, “Hunger” held off two formidable new films to remain the number one movie with a three-day total of $21.5 million. For four weeks in domestic release,”Hunger” has taken in a whooping total of $337.1 million, making it the number one box office movie to date of 2012.
“The Three Stooges” did solid business with $17.1 million.
Another newcomer, the fantasy horror film “The Cabin in the Sky” came in a disappointing third with $14.9 million.
“Titanic 3D” came in fourth place with $11.6 million followed by “American Reunion” with $10. 7 million. For more information on all the box office totals of this weekend, click on the link below.
