Storms’ Last Hurrah Hits St. Louis

View Comments

St. Louis Sunday night felt the remnants of a major storm that spawned over one-hundred tornadoes over the plains states Saturday.

By the time the storm front rolled into St. Louis, most of its energy had gone.  Even so, parts of St. Charles and St. Louis counties saw winds of over 50 miles per hour along with lightning and heavy rain.

Some tree limbs came down with the wind and several thousand people lost electrical service.

There no tornadoes spotted in the St. Louis area storms.
