St. Louis Police Investigate Several Shootings

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Police are investigating several shootings that started Saturday afternoon and didn’t end until early Sunday morning.
In all, eight people were shot, three were critically wounded, the others conditions are listed as serious and stable.
The string of shootings began Saturday around 4:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of Tower Grove, near Sweetie Pie’s Restaurant. A 19-year-old was walking with a group of friends when he was shot in the upper torso.
A couple hours later around 10:45 p.m. a 16-year-old was shot in the leg, stomach, and arm while on the front porch of a home in the 3000 block of Thomas. Then around 11 p.m. an 18-year-old was shot in the hand a block away in the 1200 block of Tower Grove. Investigators believe those shootings are related. So far, police have no suspects.
Two other homes and a car in the area were hit with gunfire, but nobody else was injured.
Elsewhere a 31-year old was shot in the 4900 block of Alcott before 9 p.m. Saturday. And just before midnight Saturday, in the 5700 block of Goodfellow, another 16-year old was shot.
Three people were also shot around 1 a.m. Sunday outside the Lavish Night-Club in the 2600 block of Stoddard.
All of the drive-by shootings appear to be targeting teenagers. Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information can call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
