ST. LOUIS (KMOX/AP) – A tow-truck driver is dead after an alleged hit-and-run accident in St. Louis.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. Monday on Interstate 70. Police say David Bense was on the shoulder of the interstate placing cones around a disabled vehicle when he was hit by another driver.

That driver fled, but was taken into custody a short time later.
