Metro-East Charged After Slapping Officer in Face

SHILOH, Ill. (KMOX) – A Metro-East woman is in big trouble with the law after she slapped a police officer in the face during a traffic stop.
Shannon Stelling is charged with aggravated battery to a police officer.
According to the Shiloh Police Department Stelling was a passenger on a motorcycle that was pulled over Sunday for suspicion of driving under the influence.
She began to argue with officers at the scene once the driver, Scott Stelling, was placed in custody. That’s when she struck one of them in the face.
Both Shannon and Scott Stelling are out on bond.
