Home Sales In St. Louis Finally Showing Improvement

Allison Blood

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  Home sales and prices are up in St. Louis for the first time in months.

Coldwell Banker Gundaker president Jim Dohr tells KMOX News that Fannie Mae recently completed a survey on consumer confidence.

“It’s improving dramatically, specifically related to St. Louis real estate,” Dohr says. “Seventy three percent of those surveyed in March feel it’s a great time to buy a home. That’s up from seventy percent in February.”

Dohr also sees good things for April, as well.

Dohr adds that while it’s currently not taking as long to sell a home as it did this time a year ago, that doesn’t mean the housing market is out of the woods just yet.
