WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOX)The owner of a Wentzville Christian bookstore is offering a reward for the return of the uniform and medals stolen from a Marine, near the Gateway Arch earlier this month.
David Tucker tells KMOX the way Marine Ethan Stoeckel reacted to the theft of his medals and uniforms, really hit home, “The young Marine, 22-years-old, says he was over in Afghanistan fighting for the freedoms of the very ones who stole his items, and that’s a fact.”
Tucker says he felt God put it in his heart to offer the reward, “This soldier loved us enough, total strangers, to lay down his life and lose his best friend for love. The least we can do is show him love and try to get his stuff back for him.”
Tucker says he is offering $1,000, but other donors have added $750 to the reward. If you would like to contribute, or return the stolen items, call David Tucker at All About Love Christian Books and Gifts in Wentzville.
