ST. LOUIS (AP) – A special fair is planned for Saturday in St. Louis to help displaced students from a shut-down charter school network determine where they’ll go next.
The fair for Imagine charter school students will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Gateway Math & Science Elementary and Preparatory Schools.
Earlier this month, the Missouri State Board of Education agreed to close six Imagine schools in St. Louis at the end of the current academic year. The board cited poor academic performance and fiscal mismanagement.
Officials of private and public schools have been invited to attend the fair and give Imagine students a chance to apply.
