INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri woman will be sentenced in June after admitting that she and her church pastor planned her husband’s murder.
Forty-year-old Teresa Stone pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit murder in the March 2010 death of Randy Stone of Independence.
Prosecutors say she conspired with her minister, David Love, who is serving a life prison sentence after admitting last year that he shot Randy Stone to death.
Love’s attorney and relatives of Randy Stone have said Love and Teresa Stone had a long love affair. Love once was the pastor of the Stones’ church and delivered part Randy Stone’s eulogy at his memorial.
The Kansas City Star reports Teresa Stone remains free on bond while awaiting sentencing. She faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
