“Person Of Interest” In Custody In Fatal Hit & Run

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  St. Louis police now have a person of interest in custody in connection with last Friday’s fatal hit-&-run outside the Broadway Oyster Bar near Busch Stadium.

23-year-old Amber Wood was knocked 80 feet through the air by a speeding Pontiac and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person with her was struck but had only minor injuries.

The car left the scene.

On Monday, Amber Wood’s mother Georgie Busch made an emotional appeal to the public for help in finding her daughter’s killer.

“I wasn’t done with her yet, and she wasn’t done with me. She loved life…she was life,” a tearful Busch told reporters.

Police promise more information about the person in custody soon.
