ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for last night’s south-St. Louis shootings and fire that left two women and a baby dead and another child in critical condition.

Investigators say the 23-year-old man knew the victims, but they aren’t saying how.

He allegedly shot 22-year-old Nreiana Ray and 50-year-old Gwendolyn Ray in the head in their apartment at 2145 Jefferson and then set it on fire.

Firefighters found the women along with 10-month-old Aiden Lawson and a 3-year-old girl.

Aiden died a short time later. The girl is in critical condition with smoke inhalation.

Police had initially told KMOX News that Aiden had also been shot, they now say that was not the case.
