CLAYTON (KMOX) - Clayton High School principal Louise Losos’ split with the district will include a $140,000 settlement and a letter of recommendation.
She is resigning as of June 30th, due to a “fundamental dispute concerning the appropriate use of social media.” Losos is accused of creating a Facebook profile by the fictitious name of Suzy Harrison and then adding students as friends.
The district won’t confirm the accusation or any other details about her departure, calling it a personnel matter.
Losos has been on paid leave and will continue to receive her regular salary until that date at the end of June.
As part of the settlement agreement, she will get the $140,000 check as well as a letter of recommendation on the superintendents’ stationary. It says, in part, that Losos is “a creative problem solver and articulate in communication.”
She agrees not to take legal action against the district.
The contract also means neither side will likely ever speak out with more information about the incident, because it says it “shall serve as the only public comment made by either party.”
Associate Principal Dan Gutchewsky has been named interim principal at Clayton through next school year.
