ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Police in Granite City say there may have been a second car involved in the crash early Saturday that killed three people in one car.

The investigation continues with word police may have more to say Monday.

It was around 4 a.m. Saturday when a car left the roadway on St. Clair Avenue, plowed through a fence and slammed into a large tree.  All three people in the car died at the scene.

Police are not confirming a second car was involved but do say no immediate charges have been filed.
