ALTON, Ill. (KMOX) -  Charges now in that early morning shooting in Alton Wednesday.

Police say 25-year-old Carlos Reeves of East St. Louis was attending a party on Brown Street in Alton when he was shot in the head, allegedly by another party-goer.

Reeves was dead at the scene.

That man, 20-year-old Christopher Stewart of Alton, has now been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

He’s being held on bond of $1,000,000.

Investigators say Stewart and Reeves knew each other and had been involved in an on-going dispute.
