ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Murder charges filed Friday against siblings Jason and Wendy Voss in a Lincoln County drug overdose case caught the attention of a woman whose son died six months ago in St. Louis.

Chris Duren says the police report states Jason Voss was doing drugs with Brandon Duren the day he died, “I’m sure Brandon chose to use, but I’m also sure he didn’t choose to be left to die by someone not being able to pick up the phone.”

Duren is hopeful authorities in St. Louis will revisit her son’s case.

The Voss siblings are charged with second-degree murder in the April 23rd death of Moscow Mills resident Doug Geiger, Jr. in a Troy, Mo. hotel room.

An “anti-heroin” rally was held along North Kingshighway in St. Louis on Saturday, with several mothers who’ve lost offspring to drug overdoses attending, along with dozens of friends and family members.
