TROY, MISSOURI (KMOX) – Second degree murder charges have been filed against a Lincoln County brother and sister for a heroin overdose death.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports 38-year-old Jason Voss of Elsberry and 31-year-old Wendy Voss of Moscow Mills are charged in the death of 29-year-old Doug Geiger Junior of Moscow Mills.

Geiger was found dead at a Troy hotel April 23rd.

Jason and Wendy Voss had faced drug charges in the case. The charges were upgraded to murder Friday after toxicology results confirmed Geiger had died of an overdose.
