Bullets were flying in south county Saturday night.
It all began with a traffic stop around 10.pm.
An officer tried to stop a driver in a stolen pickup truck near the Southmoor Apartments on Tesson Ferry Road.
Instead of stopping, the driver rammed a police car, jumped out of the truck and ran into nearby woods, police in pursuit.
Several shots were fired but police say it’s unclear if the suspect was hit.
No officers were wounded.
A search of the area failed to find the suspect.
When police searched the stolen truck they found several guns hidden inside the vehicle.
