CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) – An update to a story KMOX first brought you on Thursday…

Charges have been filed against a St. Francois County man who took part in Thursday’s standoff with police at the Motel 6 at I-55 and Lindbergh.

St. Louis County police say 23-year-old Zachary Clampitt of Bismark first drew police attention when he allegedly damaged a gate at Southmoor Apartments, Saturday night, then rammed a squad car to get away from a traffic stop.

Clampitt’s charges include 2nd degree assault of police, 1st and 2nd degree property damage, and resisting arrest.

A judge set his bond at $50,000.
