It’s being called a classic case of road rage.
Saturday afternoon, a car apparently cut off two motorcycles on Westbound I-70 between Highway “K” and Bryan Road in O’Fallon, Missouri. The 65-year-old driver of the car pulled off the highway and he and a motorcycle rider had words at a stop light.
Police say it appears the motorcycle rider assaulted the car driver who then pulled a gun and shot the biker in the shoulder.
The driver of the car then drove off with his wife and grandson in the car. They turned themselves in at the O’Fallon police station.
The biker was hospitalized.
Police say prosecutors will sort out the details to determine if charges will be filed.
