ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A man suspected in at least four incidents where women’s purses were grabbed is in jail tonight.

The St. Louis County Prosecutor has charged 17 year old MarKele Prince of St. Louis with First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action.

Prince was caught after a police chase into Illinois and back into Missouri after a robbery in Brentwood.  In that robbery a woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint.

After that robbery police labeled Prince a suspect in a purse grab on the parking lot of a K-Mart Store on Lemay Ferry Road.

He is also suspected with taking part in similar robberies with three other suspects in Crestwood and Shrewsbury.
