FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX)- Look for road work to hamper a person’s commute this summer if he or she lives in Franklin County and points west, warns MoDOT.
District Engineer Ed Hassinger tells KMOX News that work gets underway Tuesday evening on I-44 at Antire Road.
“The pavement is just gone. We keep trying to repair it, and it’s just beyond repairs,” Hassinger says. “So, we’re going to have to replace all the pavement on the Antire Hill on I-44.”
He says that requires shutting down one eastbound lane of 44 starting tonight, and by the end of the week closing a westbound lane, except during the evening rush, and moving that traffic over to the eastbound side.
The project runs through September.
