Change of Plans for I-44 Shutdown

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Because of the recent rain MODOT says the traffic shift on I-44 that was planned for Friday will be rescheduled for Saturday.

Saturday at 7 p.m. crews will shift two lanes on westbound I-44 near Antire Road to the eastbound lanes between Lewis Road and Route 141.

Its for an on-going pavement replacement project.  There will be lane closures on I-44 into September.

The west bound I-44 entrance and exit ramp at Antire will be closed for the month of June.

However, plans to shut down all westbound lanes of I-64 downtown between Broadway and 21st Street are still scheduled for Friday.

Illinois drivers will have to split off either north or south after crossing the Poplar Street Bridge.
