KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Warrensburg man who attended a Roman Catholic seminary in St. Louis has pleaded guilty in federal court to attempting to receive child pornography through the mail.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Kansas City says 41-year-old Nickolas Eugene Pinkston had been a student at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, where he led confirmation classes for seventh- and eighth-grade children.

In his plea Thursday, Pinkston admitted trying to receive child porn through the mail between May 10 and Oct. 14, 2010. Prosecutors say he sent a money order June 29, 2010, for a DVD titled “Children’s sex orgy” that allegedly contained a video of four 9-to-11-year-old children engaged in sex.

The order was sent to an undercover operation by postal inspectors who had mailed him a catalog offering the video and others.
