ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – A rise in complaints from the residents of Washington Ave in downtown St. Louis prompted the police department into action.
Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence O’Toole told KMOX that the area will be seeing a lot more police officers over the next few weeks.
The officer explained the patrol will be beefed up in response to a rise in traffic and some crime in the area.
The street will also be closed between 10th and 14th street after 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights to eliminate some traffic.
