ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Voters in St. Louis City and County both voted overwhelmingly in favor of Proposition “Y” the nearly one billion dollar bond issue for M.S.D.
The measure passed with about an 85% yes vote in both the city and county.
It means that rates will increase by 9 % in July then another 12 % each year through 2015.
Sewage rates will run around $80 per month by the end of the decade. The rate now is around 28-dollars a month.
Voter turnout in both the city and county ran around 9 %
