ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A woman who was responsible for an elderly man’s care is now charged in connection with his death.

The St Louis Circuit Attorney has charged 48 year old Darlene Coulibaly with First Degree Assault and Elderly Abuse.

67 year old Howard Spracher was found unresponsive in his home in the 3800 block of Labadie.  An EMS crew reported he had injuries throughout his body and appeared to be malnourished.  He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Coulibaly was taken into custody and faces additional charges pending an autopsy.
