ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – An argument between a couple in the early morning hours Friday sends one to the hospital and the other in to police custody.

St. Louis Police say a 43 year-old woman is in custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the face with a pair of kitchen scissors.

The 57 year-old man is being treated. His injury are considered not life threatening.

It happened a little after 3:00 a.m. at the couple’s home in the 3800 block of Lee Avenue in north St. Louis.

Investigators say the couple was drinking when the woman became aggressive.
