St. LOUIS (KMOPX/AP) – You graduated from Mizzou, you’re a big Tiger fan and you can’t wait for the big move to the Southeastern Conference. The prestige of stepping up to the SEC comes with a price and your donation pledge will soon be in the mail.
Missouri athletic director Mike Alden, told members of the Tiger Quaterback Club booster group last night that the move is going to require a sizable increase in private giving to compete in its new conference.
Alden used the new $5-point-6 million gymnastics facility and dance studio as an example of the financial commitment Missouri expects. Missouri plans to unveil a long-range plan to improve its athletic facilities later this month. That will take approval by the university’s Board of Curators.
