Among the many changes and upgrades at The Muny, as they begin their 94th season in Forest Park, is a new program cover unlike anything The Muny has ever had in its modern history.
Created and designed by world-famous local artist Mary Engelbriet, it was commissioned by The Muny’s Executive Producer, Mike Isaacson.
“I’m so honored that Mary created this marvelous illustration for our audiences,” Isaacson said. “This is another example of The Muny serving as a showcase for local artists.
“I have tried to capture,” Engelbriet commented, “the magic I felt as a child, and the satisfaction I felt as parent bringing my kids here, continuing a great St. Louis summertime tradition.”
The first show of the new season is “Thoroughly Modern Millie” that won a Tony Award as best musical of the 2002 season on Broadway.
