Curfew Enforced on Washington Avenue

Greg Branson

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Local teens will no longer be able to cruise Washington Avenue on weekend nights.

St. Louis police are now enforcing a curfew on Friday and Saturday nights.  It’s in effect from ten p-m until four the next morning.  The area affected is from Ninth to 14th Street.

The action is an effort to curb violence and hold down the noise.  Police say anyone caught with their radios blasting could get a ticket, or have their vehicle impounded.
