MONTGOMERY CITY, MO (AP) – Missouri has what might be the first case of a domestic violence texting dispute.
It appears a Montgomery City couple really didn’t want to talk to each other but they’re entire argument was carried out through text messages.
In the course of the back-and-forth texting, it escalated to the point that one of the warring parties actually called the sheriff’s department.
Sheriff Robert Davis says when a deputy arrived at the home to investigate, he was handed a cell phone and was told to read the whole argument.
Davis says there were no threats in the text, so no one was arrest but, the deputy did call Family Services after seeing a 2-year-old child sleeping in a corner next to animal waste.
