ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – The Missouri Department of Transportation has cancelled its plans for rock blasting on interstate 270 this week.
The work is being postponed because crews still need to survey work in the blasting area.
For the past two weeks, MoDOT had closed I-270 in both directions between Manchester Road and Big Bend twice a day for a 15 minutes period.
The closures and rock blasting will resume on Monday, June 25 at 10 a.m., and will occur every weekday throughout the summer, weather permitting.
Motorists can call 1-888-ASK-MODOT or visit http://www.modot.org for more information on work zones, road closures and current traffic delays.
