Motorcycle Rider Dies in Metro-East Crash

LEBANON, Ill. (KMOX) – An improperly-fitting helmet may have contributed to a motorcycle crash victim’s death, Saturday, in the Metro-East.

The Madison County coroner’s office says 23-year-old Andrew Warner of Troy, Ill. died from multiple systems trauma, after his bike collided with a pickup truck in Lebanon.

The coroner’s report says it’s suspected Warner’s helmet was not fastened and came off during the crash.

Lebanon police are investigating.
