Two Lanes Of WB I-64 To Reopen At 6 AM Wednesday

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  MoDOT officials say crews continue working around the clock to remove and replace portion of the double deck structure on I-64 downtown.

Dozens of workers have been using jack-hammers to remove weak spots of concrete before replacing the driving surface of the decades-old span.

MoDOT now plans to re-open two lanes of westbound 64 before 6 am Wednesday.

After that crews will return to the regular construction schedule which calls for one lane of westbound I-64 to stay closed around the clock.

A second lane closes daily from 10 am until 3 am the following morning.
