ST. CHARLES, MO (KMOX)-The man police say was arrested in St. Ann moments after robbing a St. Charles bank yesterday has been charged.
33-year-old DeAndre Wilkes of St. Charles faces one count of first degree robbery. He’s being held on $200,000 bond.
Wilkes was pulled over on I-70 in St. Ann when police spotted a van that witnesses reported seeing near the Commerce Bank on First Capitol Drive at the time it was being robbed.
Investigators say Wilkes indicated to tellers that he had a weapon but never showed one. They say the stolen money was recovered.
