ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis area is now under an excessive heat warning. The National Weather Service Friday evening suspended the heat advisory and put the warning in effect until Sunday evening at 7-o’clock.
An Excessive Heat Warning is issued when there is a forecast for a heat index of at least 105 degrees for more than three hours per day for two consecutive days, or a heat index more than 115 degrees for any period of time.
