ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – A former St. Louis talk radio host is going to prison for the rest of his life.

The circuit attorney’s office says Leonardo Drisdel was sentenced to life without parole, Friday, for the June 2005 murder of Cassandra Kovack.

Drisdel was accused of beating, biting, and smothering the 28-year-old victim in her St. Louis home.

A jury convicted him of first-degree murder in May.

Drisdel used to host a show called “Leonardo Drisdel” on WGNU Radio.
