KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 47-year-old Kansas City police officer is accused of forcing two women to have sex with him so he wouldn’t arrest them.

Jackson County prosecutors on Monday announced two felony acceding to corruption charges against Jeffrey Holmes. Prosecutors say Holmes, in his police uniform, went to a Kansas City motel late March 23 to meet a prostitute he had found online. The woman said Holmes told her she was busted for prostitution and would be arrested if she didn’t have sex with him.

A second woman told investigators Holmes, again in uniform, confronted her April 13 at a different motel and forced her to have sex as a condition of him not arresting her for possessing marijuana.

The prosecutor’s office said it was unclear if Holmes had obtained an attorney.
