Two Dead After Home Break-In Turns Into Shootout

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) –  Two are dead following a shooting in south St. Louis Wednesday evening.

As St. Louis police officers arrived in the 3200 block of January, they found a man lying in a walkway behind the apartment complex.

He’d been shot multiple times and died of his injuries early Wednesday.

That person has not been identified, but police found a second victim inside the apartment, also shot to death.

He’s identified as 17-year-old Arrion Calvin.

While investigators were working the scene, two people arrived and told police that Calvin and the second man had broken into their apartment and announced a robbery.

That was followed by a shootout, they said.

Police are questioning the occupants after they recovered several guns and suspected marijuana inside the apartment.
