ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Barnes Jewish Hospital had to move some 100 patients out of Queeny Tower because of intermittent power outages due to a massive water main break on Kingshighway.

The water leak was stopped, however crews remain on the scene to make permanent repairs.

Northbound Kingshighway remains closed from I-64.

Patients that were moved from Queeny Tower were taken to other parts of the hospital. They wont be moved back until hospital officials are 100% sure that power is restored. Water in the basement at Queeny caused the problem.

Officials say they may reschedule some outpatient procedures and surgeries.

Officials are still not sure what caused the 12 inch water main break at Kingshighway and Barnes Jewish Hospital Plaza
